question about bugzilla emial notificaiton

Yihui Hu (胡一辉)
Hi:

I have some question about bugzilla email question.
We have two bugzilla web server that use two different smtp server to send email notification after the bug updated.
in fact, the two server are in two different network, for example one is internal network, another is external network, they are separated by firewall,
so if user update bug with web server internal, then he can receive email in internal network but not in external network email system.
If we want to send and receive email in the both network for any one operation with bug, how can I do ?

Another question is, when one employee dismissed, IT will delete his email account, but since there is no such email address in email system,
when update bug, the email will send to the email address deleted without report sending error.
Is it because we integrated our bugzilla account with ldap?
or is there config error with bugzilla?

Thank you very much
Yihui hu

*Response*:

You can deactivate the user account in the administration web page.

Administration->Users->Search->Edit User...->Enable the Check box "Bugmail
Disabled and Enter Disable text".

Regards,
Antoine.

RE: question about bugzilla emial notificaiton

Yihui Hu (胡一辉)
Hi Antoine:
Thank you very much.

I means I have thought I will get the error:
There was an error sending mail from …..
Just like other our customer email in internal we can not send notification.
But it doesn’t ,
and display:
Email sent to:
just like the email is exist still.

I just can’t understand, and doubt if I misconfigurate bugzilla

Hi Yihui,

It will displays in the email list, since it is available in the bugs. If
you notice that  there will be two sessions as below;

Email sent to:

Excluding:

The disabled user email will be added in the excluding list.

Please check it once.

RE: question about bugzilla emial notificaiton

Yihui Hu (胡一辉)
well, [hidden email]<mailto:[hidden email]> is not a valid email address, but it’s a valid bugzilla account in internel network
If I send email to it in outlook, the server will return error
but there is no error with bugzilla.
I don’t disable [hidden email]<mailto:[hidden email]> email in bugzilla user account setting to verify.

editusers.cgi allows to set "Bugmail Disabled" for accounts when they
are not valid email addresses.

You wrote above that it "is not a valid email address" so to me that
behaves as expected - cannot send something to a non-existing address.

Cheers,
