bugzilla - How to log the same bug for multiple products?
We are using Bugzilla 2.18 and are repeatedly running into the situation
where a defect found in testing a particular product exists in other
products that are tracked with bugzilla. Many of my company's products are
derived from common source code which is certainly an occurrence for some of
you out there too. However, each of the products are customer specific and
require separate tracking for various reasons. How have others addressed

The feature exists starting from 2.19.2, actually -- it's called "clone
bug." It's possible that you could find the patches in Bugzilla and
backport them to 2.18, but it's also possible to use 2.19.2, which is
pretty stable. (I wouldn't recommend 2.19.3 for production use, though,
because it's very unstable.)

Which brings up a point that has been bothering me for a while now.
If I am watching a bug A, and clone it, the new bug B is created as
"Depending on A".
However, most times when I use this feature, it's either to clone a
master bug into a set of bugs for components or other products (where
you want the new bugs to be *blocking* the master bug), or to document a
separate underlying problem that can possibly affect other products
(again, a *blocking* situation).
