XMLDocument.save("localfile.xml"); <results>

Ok, sorry for the hasty posts earlier, but here is some further results.
Yes, only one of those examples actually would work, the nsIConverter
one was incorrect types as [name] pointed out.

The successful candidate is
http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save.js

loading in
http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/remote.xml

via the test pages
http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/save.xul
http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/save.xhtml

and the test.js script is
http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/test.js

Unfortunately the above mentioned host does not have the proper mime types
to serve up the .xul and .xhtml, but wanted to show some code that did work.

Also, added the E4X XML Object prototype for the save("localfile.xml");

<http://www.teamcon.com/pub/concepts/mozilla/XMLDocument/save/save-e4x.xul>
