Windows nightly builds of reflow branch

L. David Baron
Windows nightly builds of the reflow branch are now available at
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/experimental/reflow-refactor/

If you file bugs based on regressions that occurred on the branch,
please assign them directly to me ([hidden email] for bugmail), or
assign form controls regressions to Boris ([hidden email]), and please
put "[reflow branch]" at the beginning of the bug summary.  Note that
the current branch branched on June 3, so the regression baseline should
be a June 3 nightly build.  (Sometime soon I'll probably merge to a
fresh branch from the trunk, at which point this will change.)

See also the status of the work on the branch:
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Gecko:Reflow_Refactoring

(Apparently updates to one of these builds were inadvertently pushed to
the nightly update channel, but this should be fixed soon.)

Great !

I see that resizing to less than 800 pixels wide breaks acid2.
Oh ! " Future Development Tasks    * figure out why vertical resizing
changes affected acid2 at all ". OK, all right then.

This is really just the bug that we don't do a very good job of
maintaining our scroll position to named anchors when resizing a window.
It works again if you hit "home" (to scroll to the top) and then click
the test link again.

No, that refers to vertical resizing, not horizontal resizing.  And I
think it may not be a problem at all.

Are there plans to have Linux nightly builds?

Is the rendering of the attached test as intended, using "Style 2"
and "Style 3" (see the alternate document styles)? Given enough
window width, the non-reflow Mozilla versions render the green and
orange blocks "in one line" while with a reflow branch version I get
the orange block under or partially "flowing around" the green one.

Not sure which rendering is correct, but I was wondering whether you see some
orange turds left over when switching styles on that testcase...  Over here I
see some (and blurring the window seems to make them go away).

Yes, I see them. When I change the styles some stuff remains not
repainted/cleared, but it doesn't help just to focus another window,
by my side - I have to overlap the "dirty" areas" with another
window or I have to resize the browser window a few pixels.

OK.  I filed bug 352417 on this.
