User mode for xxx is now +ix

jj-35
Hello,

what does it mean "+ix"?

Are there other modes for users?

How can I read travel in channels?

Well, I am very new here.

Greetings

afaik +i is invisible and +x is being used to hide your hostmask when
being authed (at least in Quakenet, I don't know if x has another
meaning somewehere else).

yes, depending on the network there are quite a few, but this shouldn't
bother you that much at the beginning ;-)

beigetreten bin.

No, that's not possible by default. You would need a client being online
the whole time (such things exist, e.g. a bouncer/BNC), which will log
the data of queries (query = private chat) and/or channels while you're
disconnected.
So it's normal not being able to read old messages on IRC, it's more
like a live-chat. Bouncers/BNCs are mostly used from "power-users".
