Updated SeaMonkey 1.0 es-ES Win32 installer and new region XPI

Ricardo Palomares Martínez
Hi,

Why should I do it just late when I could also do it wrong? :-(

I mistankenly took the Linux spellchecker XPI and put it in the
Windows installer. This has led to no spellchecker in Windows, so here
it is a new version:

Win32
http://rpalomares.openforyou.com/seamonkey-1.0.es-ES.win32.installer.exe
(10727170 bytes, MD5: 99d5ef9deb2ba870989ecfabe58caae3)

Besides that, I've updated the region pack due to bug 327319 - "Some
search plugins are not correctly coded in UTF-8":

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327319

(Actually, the search plugins had to be coded in Mac Roman).

Regpack
http://nave-stage.escomposlinux.org/productos/seamonkey/1.0/descargas/seamonkey-1.0.es-ES.regpack.xpi

40880 bytes, MD5: 0aebdb9ec1415af4c3e5514fe0c8fe48

Being a so tiny download I'm not sure it worths the pity to prepare
and upload a new installer for Linux (the above Windows installer has
it included, of course). SeaMonkey Council, I'll follow your word in this.

MLP staff, could you please upload (again) the files to ftp.mozilla.org?

Thanks a lot.

Sorry, if I appear to be on a crusade for this issue, but could you also
update the install.js to include the OS/2 case? I don't actually know if
the non-existance of these two lines causes a problem with a regpack,
but as you already do that for the langpack...

    if('platform' in Install)
    {
        platformStr = new String(Install.platform);

        if (!platformStr.search(/^Macintosh/))
            platformNode = 'mac';
        else if (!platformStr.search(/^Win/))
            platformNode = 'win';
        else if (!platformStr.search(/^OS\/2/))
            platformNode = 'win';
        else
            platformNode = 'unix';
    }

Thanks!
   Peter.

Actually, I don't do it, Mozilla Translator does it for me. :-) Maybe
all the failures in the installation script you have catched have been
in the regpacks? If so, probably all the translators for those
languages are using Mozilla Translator to pack them. :-?

Updated regpack:

You're welcome. I'm just not so sure about MLP staff thinking the same
regarding me. :-)

MLP staff, could you please upload (again, and again) that updated
regpack?

Ricardo

Good point, that just shows that I don't have a clue how you translators
work... I downloaded MT and in its class files I can only see the
platform selector lines without the OS/2 bits. I didn't find the sources
nor did I find where to post bugs about it, so for now I just wrote to
Henrik's address as listed on the l10n pages.

You can get the sources from SourceForge.net, IIRC:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/moztrans

Download the "newsrc" directory (stands for "new sources", not
anything related to newsgroup control files). :-)

Anyway, Henrik quit from MT mantainance long ago, and Serhiy Brytskyy
has not done any work for more than one year ago.

I'm supposed to be working in a MT replacement, but I'm really short
of time and it will be a long time before I come up with something
usable. At this moment, translators not willing to join an online
translation tool (Pootle) and/or messing around with file conversions
back and forth .po/.dtd & .properties are bound to use plain editors
(some Perl tools exists to enhance upgrading versions, but they don't
provide editing support AFAIK) or otherwise keep using Mozilla
Translator and hack the incompatibilities.

Ricardo.
