Unable to add user in bugzilla

coppercry
Hi,

I'm new to bugzilla.

I recently setup bugzilla server in my office environment. I was able to add around 40 users. But when I try to add more user afterwards, I'm getting the error below

Software error:

DBD::mysql::db do failed: Column 'email' cannot be null [for Statement "INSERT INTO profiles (disable_mail, login_name, cryptpassword, is_enabled, email, extern_id, realname, disabledtext) VALUES (?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)"] at Bugzilla/Object.pm line 550.
        Bugzilla::Object::insert_create_data("Bugzilla::User", HASH(0x1fa71a8)) called at Bugzilla/Object.pm line 467
        Bugzilla::Object::create("Bugzilla::User", HASH(0x39a5cd0)) called at Bugzilla/User.pm line 1882
        Bugzilla::User::create("Bugzilla::User", HASH(0x39a5cd0)) called at /var/www/html/bugzilla/editusers.cgi line 207
For help, please send mail to the webmaster ([hidden email]), giving this error message and the time and date of the error.

I ran sanity check and checksetup.pl but they ran fine.

Please let me know what exactly is the issue and how to resolve it

Hi Thorsten Schöning,

I'm using bugzilla version 4.4.6. I try to add user through
Admin->Users->Add User.

Bugzilla was installed few days ago. Nothing extra like extensions or
skins, etc is installed or added.

Users already created are able to use the bugzilla without any problems,
Just not able to add any users

Please let me know any info required

Regards,
Sid

Something is very wrong with your database. The 'profiles' table should not
have an 'email' column.

At one point, your database schema was updated to the one used by
Bugzilla 5.1.x . You need to find out when this happened and revert
to the last good backup prior to the change.

You'll need to warn users that all data between the date of the backup
and the present will be lost.

Hi Thorsten Schöning,

If the database is the problem, I think I will reinstall the latest before users start to file more bugs. Please let me know how to take backup of bugs and to import it afterwards.

Sid

Hi Thorsten Schöning,

I think clean installation is only the good option.

Thank you very much for you help.
