Trying to reset password for Bugzilla account

robert.myriad
Hi

Trying to reset password for my account in Bugzilla, I get a message that a password reset token has been sent to my email address. No trace of an email from Bugzilla in my Inbox.

Any suggestion beyond infinite patience ?

You need to contact the administrator of the Bugzilla installation in
question.

I have repeatedly checked my spam folder - nothing that looks like it comes from Bugzilla there.

Hi Robert,

Can you check the jobqueue.pl status whether it is running or not.

Also check in the Administration->Parameters->EMail->mail_delivery_method

If all of them configured properly then you can check with your IT team.

Antoine,

Perhaps there is a misunderstanding : what I was trying to reset my password for is the web based Bugzilla interface for reporting problems ... in this case concerning LibreOffice but I had an account from when I reported a problem with Thunderbird in 2009. I'm a lone user, no big structure around me, and I'm my own personal IT team. (It seems I'm spending way too much time supporting my only user.)

Eventually I created a new account with a different email address but the last email I received about [Bug 501298] for TB was in july 2016.

It does seem though that there is a problem when one does try to reset one's password in the web interface.

Don't want to pursue this farther then necessary, but when creating a new account, I got the "confirm new account" immediately and was able to pursue the account creation --- I then tried again to regenerate the password for the original account and still no email showing up.

(original account is linked to a GMail address, the backup email that I used is an old old email address from an ISP that doesn't exist anymore, but I still get the messages through GMail).

If you're having trouble with a particular instance of Bugzilla, you should
contact that instance's admins. Only they will be able to figure out what
happenned to the mail Bugzilla sent but that you did not receive.
