Time Tracking Issues

Steve Fischer
I have been trying to pull Estimates, Revised Estimates, and Actual Time
worked from the MySQL space. While I can pull estimated_time and
remaining_time from the bugs table, I can locate neither the actuals, nor
the revised estimates. I have run selects off the bug_activity table,
isolating the field to what I am guessing is the correct one. However, I
have been getting non-numeric values in these fields as well (such as email
addresses, or Statuses).

Is there a proven method of successfully extracting all time elements from
the mySQL database?

Thanks,

--Steve Fischer

Re: Time Tracking Issues

For Actual Time, you can extract data from longdescs table. Here's how
it's done in Bugzilla: SELECT SUM(work_time) FROM longdescs WHERE
longdescs.bug_id=?

As for the history of Estimates, I guess you have to go through
bugs_activity table, as you have done, search for a specific value in
"fieldid" field, and parse text in "added" and "removed" fields. The
format for parsing should be quite obvious.

Best regards,
Igor
