Sunbird 0.3a1 problem

Jim Scott
I cannot get the alarms in this version to 'snooze'.
I can acknowledge and close each or all but clicking snooze has no effect.
Any ideas?

Re: Sunbird 0.3a1 problem

Hi,

I don't get any alarms either: no popups, no emails. I work with 0.3a1
as well. Apparently the problem is not encountered by everyone--as I'm
reading the faqs it looks like  people do have the alarms being fired.
So could it be a matter of configuration?
Could it come from some sort of 'interference' with other Mozilla
applications on the way the "no-popups" option is setup, for instance?
I know Sunbird comes from a plugin for Mozilla all-in-one: could it be
that it still relies on registries that are also modified by Mozilla,
such as for the "no-popups" option? I used to run the Mozilla
all-in-one and maybe I still have remainders of data/registries that
interfer with Sunbird... But of course I'm just speculating here.
The thing is, reminders are a key feature for me and if I don't find a
solution quickly I'll need to use something else.

Cheers,

At least for remote calendars, alarms are not working. Please refer to
this bug in buzilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315051

Mine was in the Home calendar.
It started working, but then wouldn't snooze so I've gone back to 0.2 for
now.

Re: Sunbird 0.3a1 problem

I don't get any alarms either. I've tried with several versions on
windows XP, all standalone Sunbird: 0.3a1, nightly build 20051228, and
finally built my own from source 20051229.

I finally realized that I get a bunch of messages such as:
"Failed to load XPCOM component:
D:\dl\mozilla\test-cal\dist\bin\components\calAlarmService.js"
in the javascript console in sunbird, regardless of the version. The
path is according to what version I run, so this does not seem to be a
conflict issue. All the files are indeed present where expected.

I guess this is a config issue, but couldn't find anything on the web or
usenet...
