SVG background image

Alexandre Leduc
Is there a way to use an SVG document as a background image in an HTML
document (either the whole page or just some elements)?

When Firefox 1.5 came out, the first thing that came to mind was to try
out scalable background images and I haven't succeded.

And that was a great idea ! :D

Unluckily, this is not possible with Firefox1.5 (but the spec specify
that must be possible).
You can vote for this bug :

Hi Alexandre,

You can try something like I did, if it works for you:

See http://www.henningpingel.de/SVG_Demos.89.0.html

Best regards,
Henning

Hi!

See the 'Go back to the SVG demo page.' in Opera. It is not a link.
Opera bug?

Regards

STanda

BTW: I have already reported this as a part of the 'Out of screen
coordinates XHTML/SVG rendering/clipping?' thread here in the group.
