One Theme for Mail, & Different Theme for Newsgroup

Wayne Sallee
Can I have one theme for write mail, and another theme for
write to newsgroup?

Or is there something else that would work? Maybe a "write
mail" icon, and a "write newsgroup" icon.

My problem is that the windows are so similar it's too
easy for me to accidently send personal e-mail to a
newsgroup, when I am inteding to send it only via e-mail.
Nothing like accidently sending private e-mail to a newsgroup.

So I need some way to make it different so I won't make
that mistake any more.

I would have to agree on an idea like that, but unfortuantly there isn't.

See lots of those personal messages in these newsgroups, and even
replied to some.

The only thing I can offer is creating two profiles.  In one profile
you would have all your email accounts.  Then in the other you would
have just your newsgroups and that's about it.

Well I made one change for now. I put in the settings for
it to Bcc all newsgroup postings to
#######################################################,
#######################################################,
#######################################################

I have to go back and delete that. It makes an obvious
difference between e-mail, and newsgroup.

Anyone know if there is a way to send to a nop e-mail
address, like nop<#######>, that e-mail servers use for
testing, where if it reads such e-mail address, it ignores
it, like a nop command in computer programming?

Re: One Theme for Mail, & Different Theme for Newsgroup

Wayne Sallee
Well I now have my software set up to do a Bcc:
#######################################################<[hidden email]>,
#######################################################<[hidden email]>,
#######################################################<[hidden email]>,

No erasing needed, just respond and go.

It's kind of a crummy way to have to do it, but should
keep me from posting personal e-mails to newsgroups.

I wish that Thunderbird would allow different themes for
different windows ie one theme for compose mail, and one
theme for compose newsgroup.
