Oak to Nightly 49 build - Elevated Updater Conditional Sign Off

Adrian Florinescu
Hi,

Please see below the current status for the Elevated Update feature:
*
Feature Category: *Medium
*Testing Status:* COMPLETED

All the available tests were executed, on Nightly Oak 49.0a1, across the
following platforms: OSX 10.9, OSX 10.10, OSX 10.11.
Additional exploratory/smoke tests were performed on Nightly Oak 49.0a1
on Windows 7.1 x32, Windows 8.1 x32, Windows 10 x64.

*1. Overall build status after testing:* YELLOW
Several issues were found during the testing sessions as follows:

  * 6 resolved issues;
  * 4 open issues:
      o *1 critical *issue*
        *
      o *1 major* issues
      o 2 /low impact/ issues.

*2. Recommendation from QE:* CONDITIONAL SIGN-OFF

Based on the testing results we are signing off the "Elevated Update"
feature to Nightly Channel. The sign-off status is set to yellow level -
conditional sign-off due to the fact that currently there is *1
critical* (Bug 1274590
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274590>) and *1 major*
(Bug 1274319 <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274319>)
issues still open.
Due to the high impact the elevated update has on OSX and the
implications that the code changes might have on Windows Updater, after
the open issues are fixed, we recommend a follow-up full testing on
Nightly Channel for OSX testcases followed by a smoke test on Windows.

*3. Manual Testing Summary:*

  * Focus area:
      o Normal Update
      o Verify Elevated Update
      o Windows service stability after the MAC related code changes
  * Test Plan: Elevated_update Test Plan

  * Detailed Test Results: Test Run Results

*4. Reported bugs for this build: *

  *      Full list with the logged bugs can be found at: Logged Bugs
    <https://wiki.mozilla.org/QA/Elevated_update#Logged_bugs>

*5. Known Issues for this build:***

  * *High impact issues*:
      o Bug 1274590
        <https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1274590>-
        [Elevated Update] Oak vs Central different behaviour when
