Mailto links not working consistently

Lewis Rosenthal
This is a frustrating one. I've confirmed it on OS/2 and on Win32 (in
Linux, with the 2005111001 nightly, this appears to work correctly).

Go to http://www.novell.com/training/attlive/ and click the mailto:
link. Nothing happens (here). On Win32, when I had SeaMonkey installed
browser-only, the link launched Thunderbird. When I re-installed the
same version of SeaMonkey, 2005111001 (complete), and launched the app,
the mailto: link was broken (as it is in OS/2).

The full syntax of the link html is:

<a href="mailto:[hidden email]?subject=Novell ATT Live
questions"><b>email +</b></a><br />

I know that there was a bug filed at one time with regard to mailto:
links with spaces in the subject (see
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=219386 and
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214158), however, I have
copied the entire page (above) into Composer, edited the mailto: link to
<a href="mailto:[hidden email]?subject=Novell"><b>email
+</b></a><br />, saved it locally, and still cannot open the blasted link.

(BTW, the page does not validate completely, per
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.novell.com/training/attlive/&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline,
however, I don't think that those errors would cause this type of
behavior, especially since the Linux build seems to work.)

Also, all three systems are using SkyPilot as the theme, however, I
checked under OS/2 against Modern, as well, and got the same lack of
function.

Any thoughts, confirmations, ideas? Time for a new <gulp> bug?

You, my friend, are a prince among men. How'd I miss that?? I pulled up
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=214158 which was duped to
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317556, but somehow, I
didn't get Bug #316372 into my search results (and I did indeed search
on mailto:)...

Anyway, all's well that ends well. Thanks for the pointer, and have a
great Thanksgiving!

Mea culpa.
