Logging gives access denied error

gjikkl
On most channels I try to log it does, on rare one it doesn't, looks
like if the channel# is open it won't create the .log file, you need to
have the channel close and go to prefference via SeaMonkey and then
check the check-box of all channels you want to be logged, please fix this.

Re: Logging gives access denied error

I'm administrator user and SeaMonkey is set to run as administrator,
looks like the Chatzilla plug-in didin't inherited this property, also
that folder have 'Full Access' for admins.

Cheers.

Chatzilla in Thunderbird

Herwig Bauernfeind-2
In reply to this post by gjikkl
Hello,

it would be nice to see Chatzilla supported in Thunderbird.

I hacked the .xpi to make it install in Thunderbird and Custom Buttons
to open it. Chatzilla works perfectly in Thunderbird with a small
exception: Upon startup it complains that it is run on an unknown
application.

So my 2 questions:
- Are there any plans to support chatzilla in Thunderbird?
- If not anybody knows how to tweak it to make the message go away?

Kind regards,
Herwig

There is a check in chatzilla.jar!/content/chatzilla/static.js for the
host application in order to tweak the UI. You could try editing this
file also, but it probably needs changes in other places too, to deal
with the Thunderbird application...

As far as I can tell there is no plan to support chatZilla for
Thunderbird. I can't find anything about it in the FAQ [1], nor in
bugzilla for the component ChatZilla [2].

We're working on integrating chat capabilities in Thunderbird - see https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=714733

The code is coming from InstantBird, not Chatzilla.

Re: Fwd: Chatzilla in Thunderbird

Answering myself:

I have got it fully working now:

Creating a custom button with code:

/*Code*/
// open page in a new tab in the foreground
openContentTab("chrome://chatzilla/content/chatzilla.xul");

opens Chatzilla in a Thunderbird Tab - interestingly the warning message
about the unknown application is also gone...

I found a hint somewhere on the net that the above would work for
Firefox, so I tried it in Thunderbird...
