How to: simplify the bug form for no-tech users.

Guido-9
Hi, I need to open bugzilla application to customers with low level
skills with informatic applications (like my english), can I hide some
parts of the form bug  by profiling a specific group?
There is other way to solve my problem?

Thanks.

Guido

More on this:
I have seen https://bugzilla.mozilla.org and I look a different form for
the "form bug", like the "Reproducibility" combo box, or other fields
that are added. It's all done with template or are needed database change?

Regards

The easiest thing to do is to have 2 different templates for submitting
bugs.

Take a look at template/en/default/bug/create/create.html.tmpl.  That's
the standard create template that you're probably already using.

Now take a look at
template/en/default/bug/create/create-guided.html.tmpl.  That's the more
advanced "guided" template.  The one you get when you click on the front
page of the main bugzilla site.  All you need to access that template is
create a link to http://<your-server>/enter_bug.cgi?format=guided
The format argument will tell bugzilla you mean to use the "guided"
template.  It's a big more user friendly than the normal template.

What we do here is have the link for creating a new bug on the front
page take you to the guided screen.  That's what our customers use.
Then the link in the footer just takes you to the normal screen...which
our devs use.

Hope this helps.
