How does Firefox recognize a xml-file?

Hello,

I create xml-files directly from a oracle database.

The adress is like ../emobil/euromobil.login.firstlogin (without
extension .xml)

The xml:

Firefox does not recognize, that this is a xml-file.
When I save the file with the extension .xml, Firefox desplays it
correctly.

Check that the document is sent with the right Content-Type. This is
what matters when sending files over HTTP, not the URL.

text/html ?
text/xhtml ?

No, this causes the HTML parser to be used.
