Gmail Spam

David E. Ross-3
I do not use Gmail.  However, I do occasionally receive spam sent
through Gmail.  Does anyone know the correct Gmail address where I can
report spam?

Gmail users do not have an email where they can complain or get support.
They can try around after logging in, but it will *not* be easy, if at
all possible. If you are no user of it, you will probably have a hard
time finding one such address - if that is possible, at all, and I think
it is not. G**g*e does not give support to the vast majority of its users.

Normally you should complain to the ISP of the spammer (exemple:
[hidden email])
You must find in the headers the IP adress of the pc connected to the
gmail-mailbox then use a WhoiisLookup site to be able to find the
"abuse" mail.

Suppose the ip of the pc is

108.XXX.191.65

Going on this site https://www.whatismyip.com/ip-whois-lookup/ and giving it

108.XXX.191.65
Shows....OgAbuseEmail: [hidden email]

Interesting steps! I never done that, but I can understand that it may
solve a few kinds of problems.

If this message and others are off-topic,
disconsider that part of it, or ask it to be
moved to another group. If someone replied
here, my opinion is that there is no problem
with that - a problem is something that is
     really rare, IMO.

That URI is specifically for phishing attempts in general, not merely
through a Gmail address.  I did a bit of digging and found
<https://support.google.com/mail/contact/abuse>, which is for reporting
abusive messages -- including spam -- from Gmail addresses.
