Ghost strings in cvs 1.8 branch

Kostas Papadimas-2
Since Monday, the Greek 1.8 cvs branch firefox build fails in these strings:

Entities in ./chrome/browser/preferences/advanced.dtd don't match:
   In
/builds/tinderbox/Fx-Mozilla1.8-l10n/Linux_2.4.20-28.8_Clobber/mozilla/browser/locales/en-US:
(add these keys to you localization)
     safeBrowsingTab.label
     safeBrowsing.label
     safeBrowsingEnable.label
     safeBrowsingEnable.accesskey

The problem is that these strings are not present ( or at least I cannot
find them) in the respective en-US directories..
Any ideas about thiw problem?

Kostas

Hi Kostas,

Those entries do exist; they've been added recently. Have a look in:
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla1.8/source/browser/locales/en-US/chrome/browser/preferences/advanced.dtd

Kostas, if you looked at the 1.8 lxr to check for these, you probably
got tricked by the fact that most lxr trees only update once a day. Only
the seamonkey tree updates hourly.

If there is any way to keep a source tree of en-US on your disk, I
suggest doing so.

http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Create_a_new_localization#Bootstrapping_a_localization_for_review
has some makefile magic to only check out the localization files
themselves, if that helps.
