GC issue

Ankur rungta
Hi,

While calling js_GC in js1.5 the GC is showing a big spike when the number of context created is high(more than 4000)
Please can anyone of you suggest that in this version is there some way to reduce the spike without upgrading to latest or reduce the number of context.

Thanks & Regards,
Ankur.

Re: GC issue

Maybe you could increase the number of runtimes?

(You know that 1.5 is about 10 years old, right?)

RE: GC issue

Ankur rungta
Hi,

Thanks for the answer.I will try this.
In the latest version 1.8.5 and 1.8 can this GC problem occur?
If there is some optimization with regard to that I may try to update.

Regards,
Ankur.

There is really no way to predict how your application will interact with
the newer garbage collectors without trying it.

That said, the newer the engine.... the better the garbage collector.

True.  However, I don't think we have ever optimized for having a large
number of contexts.
