Firefox on OS X email notification? Yes!

David Blair
Hello list,

To anyone who took any interest in my dilemma of finding an email notifier for my OS X Firefox, I found an OS X solution. It is a handy little app that sits in the menu bar:

http://www.sebastian-krauss.de/software/#mailticker

MailTicker does all the Pop-3 account accessing I desire. Unlike the other Firefox extensions that offered such bung and bunk in your toolbars, this app sits with a little envelope icon in your menu bar. When an email arrives, it does a ticker tape scroll of who the email is from and subject plus (user defined) the date of arrival.

It also deletes the emails if needed.

Thank you software peoples who know what people need!

David...

The page states that its unstable on versions later then 10.1.  Is it
behaving for you on an up to date OSX?

I use OS X 10.3.9 and it works awesome so far...

I have heard of many user issues with OS X Tiger, I think Panther is an
incredible OS.
