Firefox 1.5rc2 and FreeType2

tyrerj (Bugzilla)
I have FreeType2-2.1.10 installed and Firefox 1.0.x builds OK after
applying the patch.

I managed to apply the patch to Firefox-1.5rc2 although two of the hunks
had to be done by hand, but it won't build with --enable-freetype.  It
appears that the problem is that "nsType8" has been removed from the
source tree and it won't build without it.

Is there a patch for this somewhere?  Is it going to be fixed for the
release? or is it just being dropped.

Why are you trying to build with --enable-freetype?  Are you building
with gtk1?  At this point, most people wanting to use true-type fonts
use gtk2/xft (which does not need freetype).
