FF 70 and L10n

Mihovil Stanić-2
Can someone explain me why my FF reverted from HR locale to EN locale
after upgrade from 69.0.3 to 70?
Are we giving up on localization or?

Hi Mihovil,

I assume you're using a language pack? If that's the case, going into
about:addons and searching for updates for that language pack should
restore your language after a restart.
If you're using a fully localized build, that's definitely not expected.

The language pack problem is

Hi,

Yes, I'm using language pack since default Google landing page for
croatian users is en_US download page.
I translated most of mozilla.org landing pages so hopefully it will be
updated in some time.

Thank you for answer and bug report number.

Hi Mihovil,

For mozilla.org, the reason the landing page is redirected to en-US is because the page is not fully localized. This page has gone through many reiterations with new look and feel and content update. If you miss the window of localizing the page fully, this page will be switched to the new layout, regardless of the completion status. This is why you see it in English at the moment.

Here is the page in Pontoon: https://pontoon.mozilla.org/translate/hr/mozillaorg/mozorg/home/index-quantum.lang/?string=174034

You can check the progress on the demo server: https://www-dev.allizom.org/hr/.

Also if you check other pages https://www.mozilla.org/hr/firefox/, they look fine.

Thank you,
Peiying

Re: FF 70 and L10n

Mihovil Stanić-2
Hi Peiying,

Thank you for links, main page and most of other pages is translated now.
But I can't find this file in Pontoon:
https://www-dev.allizom.org/hr/firefox/lockwise/

Transvision says it's located in mozilla.org - firefox - products -
lockwise.lang but I can't find that file in Pontoon.

Best regards,
Mihovil
