Exporting from Bugzilla?

Dave-3
I am currently running a very old version of Bugzilla, my company is about
to implement the latest version so I am supposed to look into a few things,
one of the things I have been looking for is the ability to export
information out of bugzilla into something like an Excel file?  Does anybody
know if Bugzilla can do this and if so where I can find some documentation
on it?

Thanks,
Dave

Not know what "very old" version you're speaking of, this is somewhat
guesswork.  No version of bugzilla supports Excel output.  Newer version
support comma-delimited and XML export, but presumably yours does not.
You can check for a CSV option at the bottom of your bug lists to see if
the comma-delimited version is available.

You might want to copy your database data (using mysqldump) to a new place
and install a new bugzilla against that data.  This would give you access
to the new features.

Another alternative would be to install MySQL drivers under Windows and
connect to the MySQL server and use that to import the tables you need
into Excel.
