Bugzilla - restricting new users ?

Michal Sankot
Hi,
I'm new to Bugzilla and I'd like to ask if there is any way how to control
who are new users that want to create account in Bugzilla. I've set up
Bugzilla for internal purposes and I wouldn't like everyone to be able to
open an account. (sending new account request mail to me for confirmation
would be sufficient).

Cheers,
Michal

look at the createemailregexp parameter on the editparams.cgi page.
(Unfortunately, the documentation doesn't say a word about this.)

   Kind regards

Just in case - do your Bugzilla users come from a well-known network, like
your private LAN? If yes, perhaps you would like to configure Apache not to
allow unwanted IP addresses. This way you don't depend on Bugzilla security.

Otherwise, you can follow Marc's advice and look at createemailregexp parameter.

If you make it blank, no self-registration will be possible. So users will
have to
write you an email asking to add them to Users list.

Best regards,
Igor

Another option is to go to the parameters area and make it so you can't
get in anonymously.  This blocks even the create user screen.

Then for creating new users, just have an admin do it for everyone you
need instead of having people come register.

Thanks Guys,
setting createemailregexp to blank did the trick.

Cheers,
Michal
