Bugzilla mail not working

Kim Payne-2

Hi all

I have been tasked with figuring out why Bugzilla mail is not working ASAP.

We have installed Bugzilla 2.18.1 on a UNIX server that already had Send mail.

We have verified that Send mail is functioning by using it to generate an email from the command line.

According to our Sys Admin, Send mail is not in what would be considered a normal location on the server.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Kim

Bugzilla looks for sendmail at /usr/bin/sendmail.  Try making a symlink from there to wherever you actually have sendmail.

Hi,

I have bugzilla installed on a linux machine.
When I had installed on Windows the export of bugs to CSV file was working well. However, when installed on linux, the CSV file is created but when I open in microsoft excel, all the columns appear in the first field which is not what happens in windows.
I know it is due to carriage return/line feed but how do I correct it?

thanks in advance,
Prasanna V.

        As root:

        ln -s /path/to/sendmail /usr/lib/sendmail

Just replace /path/to/sendmail with the full path to your sendmail.
