Bugzilla 4.0 redirecting to a bogus URL using search

TolTol
I recently tried to upgrade our companies old bugzilla (3.2.2) to the
new 4.0, which works perfectly except for one thing:

Every time I try to open a bug or use the search I get redirected to a
wrong url, now the urlbase is set correct and I can login / edit
parameters etc., but as soon as I search a bug it breaks.

The setup we use is, that we have machine #1
"https://www.company.com/clients", that redirects via apache2 to the
internal machine "http://internal.company.com/bugzilla3" which actually
runs bugzilla. The urlbase is set to machine #1 and this worked
flawlessly with 3.2.2, however in 4.0 wheneven I do the search, I get
redirected to "http://www.company.com/bugzilla3" which of course doesn't
exist because machine #1 only responds to https requests and doesnt have
that directory either.

Quite honestly I have no idea where this is coming from...

This is unfortunately the nature of Bugzilla, right now. It's pretty
tricky to work around. You'll have to keep the paths the same on the
frontend and backend (perhaps by an Apache Alias on the backend?).

Thank you for the reply. So it seems, that this is working as intended,
which is unfortunate.

Do you by any chance know when this behaviour was changed? In case this
just happens with 4.0, I'd still be able to upgrade to 3.6.x, which
would be sufficient (feature-wise).

It happened quite a while ago, 3.6 definitely has the same behavior.
