Text of bug:

"Well, lets get the ball rolling here. For many and sundry reasons I
and others would like to see the new Mozilla newsgroups (or at least
the announce & support groups, but preferably all of them) propagated
to the rest of usenet.

My own reasons are flat-out convenience and to grow and maintain as
large a support (& development) community as possible.

I invite others to post other reasons here as well."

If you filed a bug, please give the bugzilla number thanks <g>

I dont consider that a 'bug' per se (not available on usenet at large).
Once you go to usenet, spam becomes a major problem as many servers DONT
do much to control/prevent usenet spam. I've seen several groups become
almost entirelly useless due to indunuation with spam posts. Both Google
and Giganews have promised effective spam control for the groups

Additionally, the groups have bi-directional email lists available

Whats more convenient about having the groups go to usenet? Simply
because a group is available for feed to usenet, doesnt automatically
mean your local news server will pick it up anyway. You would have to
request it and its just as simple (and even more convenient) simply to
subscribe to news.mozilla.org or news.mozilla.com and get the groups direct.
